Welcome to Burg Beer Gardens!

Burg Beer Gardens is a little pop-up plant shop based in Lynchburg, Virginia with a mission to minimize landfill waste through creating upcycled planters. BBG takes your empty beer and soda cans and turns them into cool succulent planters (or beer gardens if you will). It's an awesome way to collect and appreciate your favorite brew or support your local brewery!

What's in a Beer Garden?

All beer gardens come with drainage holes and drainage rocks to help plant owners in case of overwatering. All beer gardens have a succulent plant cutting inside them. Many different varieties of plants have been tested in beer cans, and succulent cuttings have done the best. Rather than squeezing a plant with a full set of roots into a tiny planter, cuttings allow the plant to adapt to its new home at its own pace. Given plenty of sunlight and occasional water, your beer garden will thrive on neglect.
